Ian Broughton has a degree in Chemistry and worked for 3 years as a research chemist in the R&D laboratories of one of the largest oil companies in the world. His research speciality was in lubricating grease. Following that, he moved into a part field based position working on special projects and liaising with original equipment manufacturers.
He has in excess of 30 years experience in sales and technical advice in lubricating oils and greases and is well-known in the industry for his extensive and practical knowledge and approachability.

Alan Ellis is a time-served engineer in mechanical production engineering. He spent 20 years in direct sales roles, selling production cutting tools to large companies.
He then spent 19 years working for a major oil company selling industrial production and maintenance lubricants throughout the UK and Northern Europe. His wide portfolio of customers included aerospace and ship-building industries. His remit was to attend customers' sites and produce complete lubrication fluid management surveys recommending the correct lubricating products for their machinery and equipment. Alan's knowledge and practical experience is considerable.
Coupled with this extensive in-house knowledge, Geo. Broughton & Co has the backup of BP/Castrol technical departments and access to their specialist industrial engineers if needed.
